Patriots vs. Titans. Who wins?
The Titans have been awful all season long, but I think this is a good spot to buy them at a low after their blowout loss to the Lions. At the same time, the Patriots are riding high after their upset win over the Jets. Look for Tennessee to finally get their first home win of the season.
Patriots +3
Titans +2
Chargers @ Browns. Who wins?
Everyone is all about the Browns after their come-from-behind win over the Ravens last week. I’m not buying into the hype. Jameis Winston does give this Cleveland offense more punch, but he’s also notorious for turning the ball over. Give me the Bolts!
Chargers +3
Browns +3
Cowboys @ Falcons. Who wins?
It’s do-or-die time for Dallas, as they fell to just 3-4 after losing to San Fran last week on Sunday Night Football. Look for the Cowboys to bring a lot of intensity in this one, as Dak Prescott has vowed that his team will not quit on the season. Meanwhile, Atlanta is sitting fat and happy with their lead in the division. Motivation should favor Dallas in a big way!
Cowboys +3
Falcons +2
Bears at Cardinals. Who wins?
Can ‘Da Bears’ shake off that gut-wrenching Hail Mary loss to the Commanders? I don’t think so. That’s the type of loss that can hang around in the psyche for a week or two. On the other hand, Arizona has done some good things lately. Look for Kyler Murray and the Cards to keep things rolling at home!
Bears +3
Cardinals +3
Rams at Seahawks. Who wins?
The Seahawks have kind of been in a tailspin lately, but they always seem to do well in bounce-back spots. Geno Smith also plays brilliantly against average or below-average defenses. The Rams got a huge boost by getting Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua back last week, but my gut tells me the Hawks get right in Week 9.
Rams +3
Seahawks +3
Lions at Packers. Who wins?
I wanted to play the Pack in this spot but the health of Jordan Love makes me side with the Lions. Detroit has been a team on a mission lately, and I don’t see them slowing down, even at Lambeau Field. Look for Danny C and Benny J to lean heavily on their potent ground attack on their way to yet another win.
Lions +2
Packers +4
Commanders at Giants. Who Wins?
I was impressed with how the G-Men hung in there on Monday Night Football against the Steelers. That said, I just cannot pick a team that seems to get penalized every other play. Jayden Daniels proved last week that hurt ribs aren’t going to slow him down. Let’s ride with Washington in this one.
Commanders +2
Giants +4
Pick a player to score a touchdown:
While Drake London is the safer choice in this group, I’m going to battle with DJ Moore. ‘Da Bears’ suffered a heartbreaking loss last week, but they should be able to do some damage against a pretty pitiful Cardinals secondary. Arizona ranks 27th in yards per pass allowed, so look for Caleb Williams to hook up with Moore on several occasions.
Drake London (+1)
DJ Moore (+2)
Christian Watson (+3)
Jermaine Burton (+4)
None of These (+2)
Which QB throws for the most passing yards?
Captain Kirk is always my choice, especially if he’s not playing in primetime (lol). Cousins is finally healthy and he shouldn’t have any trouble dicing up this Cowboys secondary. I like him to outduel both Tua and Jameis in this spot.
Tua Tagovailoa (+2)
Kirk Cousins (+2)
Jameis Winston (+2)
Which of these players will have the most rushing yards?
I’m expecting Buffalo to once again blow out Miami, so this play on James Cook just makes sense from a game script standpoint. Look for Cook to get plenty of second-half carries, which will get us the points on this one.
James Cook (+2)
James Conner (+2)
Bijan Robinson (+2)
