It was a pretty good Week 15 for us, as our NFL picks went 6-4 to run our yearly record on EatWatchPlay to 80-75. Let’s review the 11 questions below and see how we do in Week 16.
The winner gets 100 PLAYs, 2nd gets 50, 3rd gets 35, and anyone in the top 20% gets at least 5. Enjoy the NFL action and good luck to all!
Titans at Colts. Who wins?
Against my better judgment, I’m taking the Titans over the Colts this week. Tennessee is hot garbage but I feel a lot better backing them now that Will Levis has finally been benched. Give me Mason Rudolph to deliver a W just before Christmas.
Titans +4
Colts +2
Rams at Jets. Who wins?
The Jets’ offense looked fantastic last week, but that was against a very inept Jaguars defense. The sledding will be much tougher against the Rams, who need this win to stay ahead in the NFC West. Look for Sean McVay to put together a great game plan with a few days of extra rest.
Rams +2
Jets +3
Eagles at Commanders. Who wins?
I’m going with the Dirty Birds in this spot, even though I think it’s a dangerous spot on the road. That said, I still don’t think this Washington team can beat elite teams. Philly is a little bit banged up, but they’ll find a way to get it done in this NFC East clash.
Eagles +1
Commanders+3
Vikings at Seahawks. Who wins?
This is one of my favorite picks of the week. Seattle looked rough on Sunday Night Football and Minnesota looked fantastic. Teams are never as good (or as bad) as they showed last week. Geno Smith hurt his knee but it looks like he’ll suit up. Give me the Seahawks at home!
Vikings +2
Seahawks +3
Jaguars at Raiders. Who wins?
Give me my old buddy Mac Jones in this spot on the road. Jacksonville’s offense finally showed signs of life against the Jets last week and I think they can do some damage against Las Vegas. Neither team probably cares all that much about winning this game, but I’ll roll with the Jags.
Jaguars +3
Raiders +3
49ers at Dolphins. Who wins?
Both of these teams are coming off devastating losses last week, but both San Fran and Miami still technically have a shot at a playoff berth. Tua Tagovailoa looked rough against Houston last week, but I think he bounces back here against a Niners defense that has been decimated by injuries. Give me the Fish at home!
49ers +3
Dolphins +3
Bucs at Cowboys. Who Wins?
Dallas is still showing some serious fight, but I have to go with Tampa Bay here on the road. Baker Mayfield is playing the best football of his life right now, especially now that Mike Evans is back to being 100% healthy. The Bucs offense should terrorize this Cowboys secondary.
Bucs +1
Cowboys +3
Pick a player to score a touchdown:
I’m not a huge fan of taking the None of These option, but something in my gut tells me it’s the right way to go this week. St. Brown is a serious threat to score, but David Njoku didn’t even play last week for Cleveland. Demarcus Robinson and Allen Lazard never seem to get very many targets.
Amon-Ra St. Brown (+1)
David Njoku (+2)
Demarcus Robinson (+3)
Allen Lazard (+4)
None of These (+2)
Which RB gets the most rushing yards?
This one’s easy! Gibbs will be getting the bulk of the carries for Detroit now that David Montgomery is out for the rest of the season. That fact alone makes me think Gibbs will get well over 100 yards against a porous Chicago run defense.
Jahymr Gibbs (+2)
Bijan Robinson (+2)
Kyren Williams (+2)
Which of these QBs will have the most passing yards?
Mayfield gets an excellent matchup against the Cowboys this weekend and I think he’ll outperform both Purdy and Darnold. Seattle and Miami both have pretty good secondaries, but Dallas ranks just 31st in yards per pass allowed. Let’s go Baker!
Baker Mayfield (+2)
Brock Purdy (+2)
Sam Darnold (+2)
