Our Week 1 NFL selections went a respectable 6-5 on the app. A nice underdog win by the Steelers was a key piece of our success. Let’s dive into the 11 questions below to see how we do in Week 2.

Winner gets 100 PLAYs, 2nd gets 50, 3rd gets 35, anyone in the top 20% gets at least 5.

Colts @ Packers. Who wins?

The Colts dropped a tough divisional game in Week 1 against the Texans. As bad as that defeat must have stung, the offense showed signs of promise under Anthony Richardson. The Packers played well in a loss to the Eagles, but the injury to QB Jordan Love will be too much for them to overcome in this spot.

Packers +3

Raiders @ Ravens. Who wins?

I hate rolling with the chalky side here, but I just can’t make a case for Antonio Pierce and this Raiders squad. Gardner Minshew moved the ball decently for the offense, but the run defense was abysmal (allowed 6.5 yards per carry). That won’t bode well against Derrick Henry and Lamar Jackson. Give me Balty!

Ravens +1

Raiders +4

Seahawks at Patriots. Who wins?

The Pats shocked the world in Week 1 by taking down the heavily favored Bengals. They don’t match up too badly against the Seahawks, but they’ll have trouble defending the 3-headed WR monster of DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Give me the Hawks!

Seahawks +2

Patriots +3

Browns at Jaguars. Who wins?

Cleveland looked terrible in Week 1 against Dallas, but I’m not so sure they should be this big of an underdog to Jacksonville. The Jags have some nice pieces, but I could easily see Myles Garrett terrorizing Trevor Lawrence all afternoon long. I’ll take a shot with the Brownies!

Jaguars +2

Browns +3

Bucs @ Lions. Who wins?

The Lions barely squeaked by the Rams on Sunday Night Football, and they needed a TD from David Montgomery in overtime to do it. That said, Detroit outclasses Tampa Bay in almost every key metric. Baker Mayfield has pulled off some upsets in his career, but he’ll have a hard time doing so on the road in the Motor City.

Lions +1

Bucs +3

Jets @ Titans. Who wins?

The Jets looked rough against the Niners on Monday Night Football, but this is a good bounce-back spot from them, even on the road. The Titans defense dominated the Bears in Week 1, but still found a way to lose because of sheer stupidity. Will Levis shows some potential, but I can’t trust him until he learns to take care of the football.

Jets +2

Titans +3

Giants @ Commanders. Who wins?

I know we shouldn’t overreact to one bad performance, but the G-Men were pitiful last week against the Vikings. The sad thing is that I don’t think Minny is all that good. Look for Jayden Daniels to get his first pro win in this one!

Giants +2

Commanders +2

Steelers @ Broncos. Who wins?

Justin Fields didn’t play too great in his Steelers debut, but he did enough for his squad to pull off the upset on the road against Atlanta. Bo Nix looked lost at times last week, and I worry about how he’ll handle this Pittsburgh defense. The Steelers should win another close one!

Steelers +2

Broncos +3

Rams @ Cardinals. Who wins?

This should be a fun one, as the oddsmakers have this game total in the low 50s. I think the Rams have the better talent, but they’re dealing with a slew of injuries. Four Rams offensive linemen are on the injury report and Puka Nucua will also miss this game. Give me Kyler and the boys to get it done at home.

Rams +2

Cardinals +2

Pick a player to score a touchdown:

This is a tough choice because all of these guys are secondary receivers and none of them get a ton of target share. I wanted to play Brandin Cooks, but Dak Prescott usually just throws the ball to CeeDee Lamb about 20 times per game it seems. I went with None of These!

Brandin Cooks (DAL) +3

Alec Pierce (IND) +3

Gabriel Davis (JAX) +3

None of These +2

Which QB throws for the most passing yards?

For my money, this is the easiest question in the entire contest. The Buffalo at Miami game has one of the highest game totals of the week, so Allen should have plenty of possessions to rack up some yardage. He cashed for us in this spot last week, and I see no reason to get off the train at this point.

Anthony Richardson (IND) +2

Josh Allen (BUF) +2

Gardner Minshew (LV) +2
